This is an incredible set of pictures of the President. The pictures of him presenting medals to injured soldiers was really touching, I thought. On a much lighter side, I wonder what he had queued up on his iPod :)? Found via Curry.com.

Comcast expected to raise broadband speeds
According to CNet, Comcast is going to raise broadband speeds to 4 mbps down and 384 kbps up. Really, I could care less about the 4 mbps down – 3 mbps is plenty fast for me. But I’d love more upload speed. Sending videos or uploading content is a massive pain at 256. Or hosting xbox games. …

#2 on a Google Query
Wow! I’m listed #2 on a google query for converting photostory3 to DVD (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=convert+photostory3+to+dvd). Unfortunately, none of my posts have anything to do with that. The equivalent search on beta.search.msn.com does much better (http://beta.search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=convert+photostory3+to+dvd&FORM=QBHP), but it doesn’t list me :). Though search.msn.com does also list me as #2 (http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?FORM=SRCHWB&q=convert%20photostory3%20to%20dvd). Strange.
IPod Shuffle
Out of all the apple announcements this week, I can’t think of any more contrasting than the iPod Shuffle and the Mac mini. The Mac mini I think makes tons of sense for Apple. A low price point machine can’t help but increase their market share. And it’s cheap enough that some users frustrated with …

iPod and high-speed connection troubles
So I got an iPod for Christmas and went to use it with my Laptop, but it’s just a little too old to have USB 2.0. It does have a 4-pin Firewire, but the iPod only has a 6 pin plug. Apple mentioned that there are 6 to 4 ping converters, so I go off …
Windows Antispyware first impressions
Shows promise. Thought it was fairly easy to use, with a few exceptions: It found a false positive – tapicfg.exe is not necessarily spyware on windows 2003 server! Http://www.processlibrary.com does list it as spyware, to be fair to WAS (windows anti-spyware), but checking the CDs, W2K3 includes a legitimate file called tapicfg.exe in system32, while …
Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) Available
Wow, talk about fast – I saw this linked off of MSN’s homepage – Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) available for download. I’ll have to check this out :).
Microsoft hurries antispyware
According to Computerworld, Microsoft is planning on shipping an antispyware program before the end of the month. What this means is it’ll probably just be a rebranding of whatever Giant was planning on shipping before. I’m hoping it’s really user friendly – I’ve installed Adware and Spybot on several relatives computers, but it’s largely just …
Counterintuitively Obvious
I see Keith started a MSN space called Counterintuitively Obvious. Did someone get an Ipod Mini for Christmas? I’d be interested to see what he thinks about the Washington election.
